Cost Breakdown

State Fees for Registration

State registration fees vary, ranging from as little as $5.00 to $750.00. Some states do not issue joint licenses, and instead require both the manufacturer and importer to register separately.

Global Registration Services collects the states’ registration fees in advance to pay on your behalf.

Testing Sample Fees — Ohio

Ohio requires that applications be submitted with a product’s law label design as determined by a lab analysis. Global Registration Services has a partnership with an Ohio-approved laboratory to facilitate the sample testing process in its entirety.

Companies completing registration with GRS will receive quick and efficient testing, as well as an exclusive discount on testing fees. Testing fees are determined by product filling type(s) and will be quoted at time of testing.Ohio requires that applications be submitted with a product’s law label design as determined by a lab analysis. Stuffed Toy Registration Fees

Currently, three U.S. states require the manufacturers of stuffed toys to register:

Massachusetts (MA)

Ohio (OH)

Pennsylvania (PA) — will not accept a toy Uniform Registry Number (URN) issued by MA or OH

Applicants are required to send four samples of each toy to GRS for submission to each state with the applications and payments. The cost associated with stuffed toy registration is roughly $1,000.
