Does your stuffed furniture or bedding product need a law label? That depends on the type of product as well as the filling material it is filled with.
The following is a list of all known products that require law labels in the United States. If you do not see your product, it may fall under a product category on the list.

Law labels inform the consumer about hidden contents, or “filling materials,” inside stuffed bedding and furniture products. They describe the filling material as a percentage by weight. For example, 80% Polyurethane Foam, 20% Polyester Fibers.

The state of Pennsylvania prohibits law labels from listing certain common filling materials, such as “pad” and “batting.” In order to list these filling materials on your product’s law label, GRS can help you apply for a Pennsylvania variance.
